The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula Foundation and the Port Angeles Parks & Recreation Department invite you to join the Olympic Peninsula Bike Adventure, September 28th, 2008.

Enjoy riding 50+, 25 or 10 miles on the off road Olympic Discovery Trail that winds through valleys and along the shoreline of some of the most beautiful coastal scenery in the world. As construction on the trail continues, the trail will eventually connect Port Townsend, Sequim and Port Angeles west to Lake Ozette on the coast.

For only $40 per person, 12 and under $25 each. Funds from the Olympic Peninsula Bike Adventure will go to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula Foundation and the Port Angeles Parks and Recreation Department.

This ride begins at the City Pier in Port Angeles. Food & water stations, SAG support and First Aid assistance will be available at several locations along the trail as indicated by a map provided to participants. Fall weather in our area is a good time to be out on the trail, but as with any outdoor adventure it is good to anticipate some rain or windy conditions.

New this Year – 10 and 25 mile rides

The 10 mile ride begins at 10:30 a.m. with registration at Robin Hill Farm Park and will take participants to the Boys & Girls Club in Sequim and back to the park following a lunch at the club.

The 25 mile ride begins at the City Pier and is only one way. A bus will take you back to Port Angeles after lunch at the Boys & Girls Club.

The cost for both shorter rides is still $40 each because this is a charity ride and the goal is to raise funds for the B&G Foundation.
